Sirumalai Evergreen Multipurpose Community Development Society- SIMCODESS

We drive inclusive development by empowering women through sustainable agricultural education focused on ecological recycling principles in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu.

SIMCODESS is a nonprofit organization established in 1990 and has its headquarters in Vellodu, Dindigul District, Attur, Riddiyar Chithiram, and Dindigul Blocks of Dindigul District, Tamil Nadu. We are involved in organic farming activities and camp labor programs. The target area of ​​various activities of the organization includes women, adolescent girls farmers, and children. During the 34 years of its existence, our organization has made several efforts and worked for the betterment of people in need.
Our objectives:
- To ensure the protection and conservation of the green cover of Sirumalai Hills with involvement of community stakeholders and farmers.

Mass Rally by School Students

To highlight global warming and climate change issues along with the strategies and practices to find solutions, mass rallies by the students from 5 schools were organized successfully. The cooperation and support of the school management was encouraging and praise-worthy. The rally was impressive and caught the attention of thousands of people in the villages and passersby.

The Women Empowerment Program reaches out to marginalized and socially excluded women with interventions in nutrition, health, and livelihoods. The program empowers women through innovative community practices, enabling them to access health and bring about sustainable changes in the community, while also supporting them to become knowledgeable, skilled, and financially independent.
